The goal of the Trust is to improve the educational status of the blind and low vision population in Tanzania by reducing illiteracy, provision of resource services and the incidence of inclusive education and improve their living.
Since its establishment the Trust has rendered educational resource services to fifteen visually impaired people and one sighted individual. Most of the beneficiaries are students and adults pursuing their O-A secondary education levels. Others, especially professional adults are contained in the braille skills course. However, the number of visually impaired learners is kept to a minimum due to available writing and other assistive tools.
For blind students who meet our required grades, we offer free education. We want our students to learn to trust their own abilities, contribute to their social and develop lasting values while they expirience the exhilaration of learning.
